Raymond International was founded in Los Angeles in 1973, with the Northern California offices opening in Santa Cruz in 1993.

Our core competency is recruiting financial management talent for the foreign subsidiaries of U.S. and other Western multinationals. We also have a track-record performing C-Level, General Management, and other senior-level searches. Our client base includes many of the world’s top multinationals, across manufacturing, technology, distribution, service, and retail industries. OUR ROOTS :

Eric and Mark were born and bred to the personnel business. Leonard Schneider, our father, was a pioneer in the employment and executive search business. He founded Boulevard Employment Agency in Chicago, IL in 1946, the largest Midwestern clerical/secretarial staffing agency. Our mother, Jeanette, was one of his top agents and post-divorce, a fierce competitor in the recruiting business. In 1973, Leonard founded Schneider Associates in Los Angeles, a boutique executive search firm specialized in recruiting global financial/accounting and executive leadership teams. He forsaw the emergence of the global economy and created methodologies to build a global search practice. Mark & Eric learned the business from the ground up—as summer office help, then researchers and then as recruiters. They founded their own firm Raymond International-Global Executive Search in 1992.

Eric Schneider has a BS in World Literature from UCLA, speaks French and Spanish, has lived and traveled abroad including one year at the University of Bordeaux. With 30 years of recruiting experience, he has performed mid to senior financial and C-level searches across Europe, Latin America and Asia/Pacific. Both Eric and his brother Mark were raised on recruiting, learning the business from their father Leonard, who started Schneider Associates in 1974. They started Raymond International (from Eric’s middle name) in Santa Cruz in 1992. Eric is also a successful real estate investor, trainer of top recruiters and has a passion for the expressive arts.

Mark Schneider received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from UCLA, graduating magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with Departmental and College Honors. He also studied at the University of Madrid, speaks Spanish, French, and basic Mandarin. Mark’s primary focus is recruiting senior-level executives throughout Asia Pacific, as well as Executive Leadership teams for Corporate Headquarters. Mark’s non-work interests include West African percussion and dance, volleyball, and rock-climbing.
